Notes
Pork is my favorite for this recipe, but steak, hamburger, or chicken can also be used.
Cooking larger portions of meat ahead of time creates easy ingredients for future meals and helps reduce food waste.
Prepping cabbage and carrots ahead of time makes this a quick and nourishing weekday dinner.
Fresh orange juice adds a bright, natural sweetness that balances the savory flavors.
The cabbage is best when it softens while still keeping a little texture.
This is a wonderful recipe for giving leftover meat a completely new personality instead of simply reheating the same meal.
Leftovers are not the end of a meal β they can be the beginning of something new.
