🌙 October Moon Candle Ritual
Welcoming Prosperity, Love & New Beginnings
As the October evenings grow darker and the autumn air settles around the Tree House, I love creating little moments of magic with candlelight, nature, and intention.
For this October moon ritual, I gathered a few meaningful treasures from around my home, lit a candle, and welcomed the possibilities of prosperity, abundance, financial stability, love, and new opportunities.
The New Moon symbolizes fresh beginnings, while the Waxing Moon represents growth and attraction. It's a beautiful time to reflect on what we would like to invite into our lives.
Nothing elaborate or complicated. Just a quiet moment of gratitude, intention, and everyday enchantment.
What You'll Need
A candle and fireproof candle holder
A small piece of beautiful paper and a pen
Crystals of your choosing (optional)
A few seasonal treasures from nature
A pumpkin or other autumn decoration (optional)
A quiet, comfortable space
The Ritual
Create your sacred space. Arrange your candle with a few meaningful objects. For my October ritual, I used a little pumpkin, autumn flowers, a branch from nature, crystals, and a playful Halloween bat.
Reflect with gratitude. Take a moment to appreciate the blessings already present in your life, however small they may seem.
Write your intentions. On a piece of paper, write down what you would like to welcome into your life. My intentions included prosperity, abundance, financial stability, new opportunities, ease, love, security, freedom, and deep fulfillment.
Light your candle. As you light the flame, quietly speak your intentions or simply hold them in your thoughts.
Visualize your possibilities. Imagine how it would feel to experience greater security, financial freedom, meaningful opportunities, and a loving, emotionally safe relationship.
Sit in the moment. Enjoy the candlelight and allow yourself a few peaceful moments without worrying about how or when things might unfold.
Close with gratitude. Thank yourself for making this time. Once the candle is safely extinguished and cool, tuck your written intentions beneath its holder as a symbolic reminder of what you are welcoming into your life.

A New Moon or Waxing Moon is traditionally associated with setting intentions and welcoming growth.
Use whatever objects you already have. Meaning matters more than elaborate supplies.
Keep your written intentions somewhere special and revisit them as the moon grows.
Consider one small, practical action you can take toward an intention.
Always keep paper, greenery, and decorations safely away from candle flames. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
